What I Do
I’m the founder of Khatavahi BI Solutions LLP, a Surat-based consulting firm helping businesses transform through ERPNext implementation, customization, and SaaS development on the Frappe Framework.
Over 9+ years of hands-on work as a Frappe & ERPNext developer, I’ve specialized in building scalable digital solutions for industries like textiles, diamonds, manufacturing, and trading — sectors that don’t always get the tailored ERP attention they deserve.
What that looks like day to day:
- ERPNext consulting, implementation, and industry-specific customization
- Custom SaaS product development on the Frappe Framework, with API integrations
- Business process automation and system architecture for growing companies
- Managing production infrastructure across 20+ live ERPNext sites — servers, uptime, the unglamorous stuff that has to just work
More recently, I’ve been going deep on local-hosted AI — running LLMs like Qwen on my own hardware, experimenting with GPU inference, and figuring out how open-source AI tooling can plug into the same kind of practical, business-first thinking I bring to ERPNext. You’ll find posts here on both fronts: ERP under the hood, and AI running on hardware I’ve stress-tested myself.
Right now, that includes managing production ERPNext infrastructure for a multi-entity group in the trading sector — handling everything from implementation to the 2am server incidents that come with keeping business-critical systems running.
Products I’ve Built
Beyond client consulting, I build products. Khatavahi Tracking (khatavahiapp.com) is a sales tracking system built on ERPNext and Frappe, part of a suite of Flutter mobile apps I’ve developed to extend ERPNext into the field — sales tracking, supplier management, and reporting, all built to work the way ERPNext already thinks, not bolted on as an afterthought.

Why I Do It
I believe open-source technology — ERPNext, Frappe, and increasingly the open AI ecosystem — gives small and mid-sized businesses a real shot at competing with much bigger players. Not through hype, but through systems that are practical, well-built, and actually maintained.
I’m not interested in selling software for its own sake. I’m interested in long-term value: systems that still make sense two years after they’re deployed, not just on launch day.
Beyond the Screen
When I step away from servers and code, you’ll usually find me exploring — bike rides through Gujarat and the Himalayas, wandering through Ladakh, or just documenting the small, unglamorous details of places most people drive past. That’s the “Explore” half of this blog, and it matters to me just as much as the technical half.
